Our Miniature Schnauzers!

These are our Tiny Mini Schnauzers starting with the DAMS!

Miniature Schnauzers have the standard shoulder height of 15 inches or less and weighing between 13 to 15 pounds.   AKC does not recognize toy or teacup schnauzers so anything in the toy and teacup range will be registered as Miniature Schnauzers. The miniature schnauzers are do not shed or shed very little. They are even-tempered, brave, and intelligent. They have the lifespan of 13 to 15 years or more. They learn fast, but have a slight stubborn streak. Training must be fair and consistent and should not be overly repetitious. *The word Teacup is a name used by some breeders to describe a very small dog of any breed.  Teacup is a name used to describe a certain size dog such as the Toy, Miniature, or Standard describes a certain size dog. Teacup is not a word used by the American Kennel Club. Therefore a very small Schnauzer is registered as Miniature Schnauzer because it is 15 inches or less at the highest point of the shoulders. This is the standard of a Miniature Schnauzer as described by the American Kennel Club.
