Our Toy Poodles!

These are our adorable Toy Poodle adults ( starting with the Dams )...

Toy Poodles have a shoulder height of 10 inches or less and weigh 6 to 9 pounds. Poodles do not shed, making them a good match for allergy sufferers. The toy poodle is sensitive, intelligent, lively, playful, proud, and elegant. They are highly intelligent making training a fairly simple process. Their lifespan is 13 to 15 years, however some live longer. Some breeders use the term Tiny Toy to be small poodles weighing between 4 to 6 pounds and Teacup to be very small poodles weighing between 2 to 4 pounds and 8 inches or under at the highest point of the shoulders at maturity. Teacup poodle’s lifespan is between 11 to 14 years with some living longer and some less. *The word Teacup is a name used by some breeders to describe a very small dog of any breed. Teacup is a name used to describe a certain size dog such as the name Toy, Miniature, or Standard describes a certain size dog. Teacup is not a word used by the American Kennel Club. Therefore a very small poodle is registered as a Toy Poodle because it is 10 inches or under of height at the highest point of the shoulders. This is the standard of a Toy Poodle as described by the American Kennel Club.
